When one or more teeth are missing the teeth next to the missing tooth space can shift either by dropping, raising, or tilting. A bridge is a connected group of crowns to hold the position and replace the missing tooth.
How is this procedure done? Much like a crown procedure the abutment or standing teeth are shaped to accommodate the bridge. A temporary bridge is made to wear during the two week lab process of making the custom bridge. An impression is taken on which the lab makes the bridge which can be make of porcelain, gold or combination of metal and porcelain.
